Calories July 6th, 2008DAMMIT, I had another post typed up but I accidentally hit COPY again instead of paste because I had originally typed it in the page part. Shoot.
Anyways, with the new numbers I’m now officially 40 lbs below what I started out at and that’s freaking cool. When I was working at Wal-Mart, the only scale I was using to check my weight was the one at the gym and that sucker is about 20 lbs off, so even then I weighed around 270-280 lbs which means I was pretty much maintaining that weight for 5 months before I decided to do something about it and I did, didn’t I? Still have a lot to go but I have to admit it’d be cool to shock the lady I use to work with about the weight loss. I kept trying to lose weight while I worked there but really didn’t have the understanding of the calorie crap down but now that I do, I’m capable of doing this, even if it takes me another year to get the rest off. All, I know is that it’s going to come off eventually.

I love your attitude. You’re absolutely correct - once you have the calorie counting down, if you ensure you’re not consuming too many or to few calories you will lose the weight! I also love your attitude about timing. If it takes a year, so what? What’s one year out of an entire lifetime?
One recommendation I have if you’re not already doing so is journaling. I use FitDay.com, but there are a myriad of online journaling programs (many free!) that you can choose from.
Stay strong.
