Another Challenge

I signed up for another challenge on Spark starting May 4th and ending May 31st. I just basically have to follow their work out routine and so on, then I have a chance of winning 1000 dollars. It’s being hosted by Spark, so that’s why of the larger sum of cashola. Then again, there will be a lot more people in the challenge and a lot more of liars at that. I’m now convinced the other girl I was neck and neck with on another challenge I was in, I think she was lying the whole time because after 44 days of straight exercising, she should have lost at least a lb . The point being is her ticker hasn’t moved unless she only checks her weight once every 3 months, I don’t know but now I’m kinda ticked by it because it really does seem like she was cheating.

Toccara Jones - My model inspiration, she’s 5′9 and weighs 162 lbs. I’m 5′9 as well and since she’s not 110 lbs, I thought she would be a great model for size wise.

I went swimming today

I went swimming in an actual pool, the first time since I think 2006, the same year I started dating my boyfriend. Yah, August of 2006, I went to my girlfriend’s apartments and went swimming with her and a few other friends. It’s been that long but I didn’t really put much umph into it because there were kids and idiot men doing stupid jumps, I kept hoping one of ‘em would split his shorts but that’s besides the point. Anyway, I went swimming today and it kicked my butt because I actually try to do laps the length of the pool, I couldn’t do many - my heart was pounding, I’m sure I burned more than 288 calories like Spark had listed since I’m still really big. I did some weight training as well but since I had a light breakfast, I got hungry pretty fast. My breakfast added up to a whopping 90 calories, I ate some of my mom’s all bran buds, they sucked. That’s the last time I run out of cereal before pay day again! BOO!

The back pain has subsided somewhat, I did some stretches and then exercised on the gazelle to get the blood flowing. I also took a pain killer; that’s probably what’s working! hahaha
I wish I could afford a well educated personal trainer so I would know rather or not I’m doing my stuff correctly and what else I could do to strengthen my back more to help prevent injury. But alas, I know part of my problem with my back is my weight on my stomach, I need to loose lots more to side step that problem.

I’m suppose to bicycle tomorrow, we’ll see what happens because at this point, I’m not sure it’s going to happen - not because of my back but more because of the blasted heat. One bad thing about Texas, the blasted heat!

Free Day

There have been a few days that I’ve gone over this week but since I’m on my period, I’m not giving two craps about it nor my enormous free day today. Hell, I might even walk to 7-11 for some Ben & Jerry’s and I won’t care about the results because I know I have the power to get rid of what I gain during a bad week plus some. Sure, it may take me a bit longer to get to my goal weight but that’s fine with me, I’d rather take 1.5 years or even 2 years to get it off and keep it off, as well as having a better chance of my skin not being so loose after the weight loss. I don’t fear loose skin on my legs nor even my arms - the only place I fear that it will be saggy will be at my gut area because across my hips and the front part of my stomach area is where I store the most fat. So that’s my area of concern for saggy skin once I get to my goal weight - if I indeed end up with saggy skin, I might opt for surgery because I want to be able to wear a bikini at least one summer out my whole pathetic adult life!

In other news; I’ve never hurt myself exercising but I did getting up today, don’t know what I did but I screwed my back up standing up today. I’m always careful to not overdo it with workouts but I seem to screw my back up at least twice a year by natural methods - standing, getting out of bed or something of that nature.

The only time I injured myself with working out was in school because they didn’t teach proper techniques for crunches - they wanted set ups, not crunches. I’d rather pump out 50 crunches than 4 set ups any day!

Down 2 lbs

Yay!, also from everything I’ve read about taking hip measurements, I’ve been doing mine in the wrong place and I thought I was but I couldn’t ever find any GOOD picture examples of where it should be done. Now that I know where to measure, my hip measurement is 56 and my waist is 41/42ish. So, either way, it puts me as being a pear shaped girlie and that apple business was bothering me, so I’m ultra happy now! I’m still really large but I’m on my way to slimming down, I think I’m going to start measuring once a month - probably the 3rd of each month or the first Monday of each month.

I didn’t hardly work out at all last week but it looks like it helped to take a break. I was going to go to the gym today but honey had to stay over at work today and help fix the Co-Manager’s screw up. The store manager has never liked freight being left on the floor after 7:30 AM at the latest. ( I use to work there. ) So, anyway, his co-manager came up with the grand idea of leaving it on the floor - needless to say the store manager didn’t think it was cool and flipped her lid. Rightly so I believe, I can’t believe I’m saying that, I dislike that woman intensely. Anyway, there seems to be lack of communication there I believe.

So, I’m picky and don’t really like going out in heavy traffic too much, so I opted for a mile walk and some strength training for today, I’ll hit up the gym tomorrow.

Mine are to be healthy and I want children one day and my weight will hold me back from being and doing both.

Instead of the planned two days of rest from working out, it’s been 4 so far and I may take another, then start kicking butt again starting tomorrow. I haven’t decided yet, todays is scheduled for the gym and I kinda want to go and I kinda don’t. ( My back is feeling a little weird. )

I don’t know, I might still go … I stepped on the scale since I had one day this week that was completely outrageous and it read 262, so that would be 1.5 lbs down, providing it sticks till Monday. We’ll see.

I do know that I can handle to eat this way for the rest of my life, I actually prefer the healthy food over the junk food 90% of the time because I’m now noticing that if I have too much crap food in one day, I don’t feel so good the next day!
